The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is a division of the Department of Health & Human Services. AMERICAN HEALTH CARE ASSOCIATION
The American Health Care Asociation (AHCA) is nation’s largest association of long term and post-acute care providers. AHCA advocates for quality care and services for frail, elderly, and disabled Americans. Members of this organization provide essential care to approximately one million individuals in over 13,500 not-for-profit and proprietary member facilities.
AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
An 1845 resolution to the New York Medical Association by Dr. Nathan S. Davis, calling for a National Medical Convention led to the establishment of the American Medical Association (AMA) in 1847. For more than 160 years the AMA has worked to create a healthier future for patients, including being at the forefront of advocating against racial and ethnic disparities in health care.
AMERICAN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is an individual membership professional organization representing more than 100,000 member Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and students of physical therapy. APTA seeks to transform society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.
AMERICAN PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATION
The American Public Health Associatoin (APHA) champions the health of all people and all communities. They strengthen the public health profession and speak out for public health issues and policies backed by science. APHA is the only organization that combines a nearly 150-year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence federal policy to improve the public's health.
